Subhack: Introducing New Support Tiers for The Post-Ev Post
Using Substack's coupon feature, you can now support The Post-Ev Post for $4, $6, or $8/month.
This October, I unveiled a new funding model for my work here at The Post-Evangelical Post, which extends to my podcasting efforts, where I donate 25% of net-proceeds on a monthly basis to organizations that serve populations harmed by white evangelicalism (Tori Douglass’s White Homework, the Religious Exemption Accountability Project, the Religious Trauma Institute, and a 4th organization/individual TBA). That announcement is below:
This announcement was ambitious, and was structured on a revenue goal of hitting 1,000 paid subscribers to this newsletter and my work at $8/month.
I’m adjusting that, and utilizing Substack’s coupon feature to mimic the support tier function of Patreon and other sites. You are now able to support The Post-Evangelical Post for $4/month, $6/month, or $8/month, based on either your capacity or willingness. (A $2/month offer is available at special request, but can only be charged annually. If you are a student or unable to subscribe, send me a note and I will gift you a subscription.)
Current subscribers: these new tiers are also available to you.
By offering these rates, I hope to broaden access to this newsletter while keeping the same economic ethos I started with. I will continue to iterate on the perks, the content posted here, and access to other platforms like Discord. Writing a book, podcasting, and working full-time has presented challenges, and through the end of the year I am continuing to refine how I structure my days to ensure I am moving everything forward without burning out or otherwise adversely affecting my health—mental or otherwise.
You’ll find links to the two new tiers below.
